Matcha Pound Cake

I love pound cake. It is a 'keep it simple' cake. You just need simple ingredients, such as fresh eggs, good butter and vanilla, and you will be rewarded with a fragrant loaf of goodness.

Honey Lemon Berry Filled Loaf Cake

When I saw this Honey Lemon Berry Filled Loaf Cake in a baking book, I was instantly attracted to it and made plans to bake it as soon as I could. It is filled with raspberries and blueberries inside out. The simple decorations on the cake allow the natural colors and texture of the fruits to be placed in the limelight. It is simple and beautiful.

Blueberry Crumble Loaf with Lemon Glaze

It is with a heavy heart that I am typing out today's blog. It is a sad, sad day. This morning, Singapore's first Prime Minister and founding father, Mr Lee Kuan Yew passed away.

My television is tuned to the news where a constant stream of Mr Lee's political journey is being telecast. He dedicated his whole life to building Singapore. May we not forget his and all our pioneer leaders spirits. The spirit of discipline, determination and resilience to make Singapore a stable and safe place to live, work and play. A place where I call home truly and have the freedom to do what I enjoy.

Chocolate-Swirl Chcoclate Pound Cake

Pound cake uses very basic ingredients; butter, eggs, sugar and flour, to make. By using the best ingredients that you can get your hands on, the final product will be a very fragrant and satisfying cake.

Today's recipe is made a little sophisticated with the addition of chocolate. The use of good chocolate and cocoa powder, makes the smell and taste of the cake so much more luxurious.

Let's get started.

Vanilla 'Surprise' Pound Cake

A hidden heart within the cake

A hidden number '5' for the 5th anniversary of my cell group

Last week, I celebrated my milestone birthday. Age became just a number, once it passes 21 years old. A number that I usually lose track and only comes to mind till the next birthday. LOL!
